An interesting point from this article is that the entertainment industry flourishes in tough economic times. This seems to be true. The 30's were considered the golden age of movies--when some of the very best films were made. If that is the case maybe we can expect a renaissance in the movie industry--at a time when a lot of people are fed up with Hollywood. It will be exciting to see what happens.
As an aside, there a few industries that do well in tough economic times. Another one of those, it is said, is the booze business. I guess people do whatever they can to escape the harsh reality of economic recession.
